—Brad Paisley

~Albert Einstein

Claire Morgan Some people swear there's no beauty left in the world, no magic. Then how do you explain the entire world coming together on one night to celebrate the hope of a new year?
–Claire, New Year’s Eve (2011)

“Sometimes it feels like there are so many things in this world we can’t control. Earthquakes, floods, reality shows… But it’s important to remember the things that we can. Like forgiveness, second chances, fresh starts… Because the one thing that turns the world from the longing place to a beautiful place… is love. Love and any of its forms. Love gives us hope… Hope for the New Year. That’s what New Year’s Eve is to me. Hope and a great party!”
–Sam, New Year’s Eve (2011)

Quotes for New Year's Day:

“Another fresh new year is here . . .
Another year to live!
To banish worry, doubt, and fear,
To love and laugh and give!

This bright new year is given me
To live each day with zest . . .
To daily grow and try to be
My highest and my best!

I have the opportunity
Once more to right some wrongs,
To pray for peace, to plant a tree,
And sing more joyful songs!”
~William Arthur Ward

“What the New Year brings to you will depend a great deal on what you bring to the New Year.” —Vern McLellan

“Maybe this year, we ought to walk through the rooms of our lives not looking for flaws, but looking for potential.” —Ellen Goodman

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” —Mark Twain

You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re doing Something.”
~Neil Gaiman

D-Xirable Movie Time! The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug!

Hello my wonderful and amazing loves,

Today, my big sis Ja and I went to see The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.

The Hobbit:  The Desolation of Smaug

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug

"Beyond darkness... beyond desolation... lies the greatest danger of all."

Basic Plot line:
The dwarves led by Thorin, along with Bilbo Baggins and Gandalf the Grey, continue their quest to reclaim Erebor, their homeland, from Smaug. The party must complete the journey to Lonely Mountain and burglar, Bilbo Baggins, (who has the mysterious and magical ring) must seek out the Secret Door that will give them access to the hoard of the dragon Smaug. And, where has Gandalf gone to? What is his secret business to the south?

So, this movie was f-ing AMAZING! My big sis Ja and I LOVED it! It was action packed, it was funny, and it was just so good! It had a great plot line! We would DEFINITELY go see it again!

It doesn't hurt that the movie has a nice looking cast either!

Orlando Bloom is totally gorgeous and hot as Legolas! I mean he's beautiful regardless but he's even more beautiful and hotter as Legolas! Especially when he's speaking elvish and doing his fight scenes! I couldn't keep my eyes of him! Loved his fight sequences! He's so good with his bow and arrow! I'm glad that they added his character into the film! :)

Luke Evans is just sexy and handsome! He plays bowman Bard/Girion. Good choice! He's so easy on the eyes!

Richard Armitage is hot as Thorin. He makes one hot king! :) The scene with him being caught on fire and jumping back up into action like nothing happened was so hilarious and funny! Ja and I was cracking up!

And even super cute Aidan Turner, who plays Kili, had a nice little story line in this film. It was really nice to see more of his character!

The love triangle between Tauriel (Evangeline Lilly), Legolas (Orlando Bloom), and Kili (Aidan Turner) was/is a good one. I can't blame her character for liking either of them! They're both attractive!

The audience was filled with laughter during the dwarves barrel escape from Thranduil, king of the Wood Elves’, realm. It was hilarious! Ja and I enjoyed it!

And Smaug, he's one big, bad dragon!

Gandalf the Grey was still the great wizard and Bilbo was still the clever little hobbit.

Anyways, the movie was awesome! I loved it from the start to the finish, well, except the very end. Hahaha! We should have seen the ending coming! It was action packed, not a dull moment in it. It's was WAY better than the first one! A LOT better! It is nice when a sequel surpasses the first film (or at least matches it)! This movie just may be my favorite so far out of all the Tolkien film adaptations (thanks to the cast).

I even enjoyed watching the credits because Ed Sheeran's "I See Fire" was playing during it! The song is f-ing AMAZING and AWESOME! I LOVE it! Ed Sheeran's vocals are INCREDIBLE on it! He did a really good job with the song and the lyrics go with the movie!

Well, that's my (along with my big sis Ja's) opinion on the movie! Hope you enjoyed the post!

With love,
LaTasha B.
