I would like to continue my posts about some of my favorite painters and artists. Another one of my favorite painters/artists is Omar Ortiz. I love how realistic his paintings look! They look so real! Also, they are really beautiful and gorgeous! I love how he paints the female body and form! Such amazing art!
"Since I started painting I have always tried to represent things as real as I can. Sometimes I succeed and some others I don´t but it´s a fact that it is very difficult for me to do otherwise.
I enjoy the challenge of reproducing skin tones and it´s nuances under natural light, particularly in bright conditions. I like simplicity in my pieces since I believe that excesses make us more poor rather than rich."

Omar Ortiz's work is characterized as minimalistic - hyperrealism where the human body is predominate with texture-filled backgrounds and a magical use of fabric. He is an accomplished hyperrealistic painter and commands fine control over light and skin tone in all of his paintings which he generally paints on large canvases. The main element of his paintings is human figure, mostly nude women. Nudity and hyper-realism makes his art alluring and sensual. Another feature is his minimalist style: a white setting, human figure and a magical set of fabrics characterize his work – It’s difficult to discern if the image is a photograph or a painting. Omar Ortiz currently works with oil painting because he considers it the noblest technique. His paintings act like intimate pieces, trapped in themselves, outside of space and context.
