D-Xirable Movie Time! (Red Tails, Man on a Ledge, Contraband, and The Vow!)

So, I LOVE going to see movies and I just so happen to have a sorority sister named Sarah N. that LOVES to see movies as well! I'm so lucky! With that said, I've seen several movies in the past 3 weeks with her! I've seen Red Tails (but I saw this with my God family), Man on a Ledge, Contrabrand, and today I went to see The Vow with Sarah Noble.

Red Tails

I saw this with my God family. My big sis Ja and I thought it was a good movie. It wasn't our favorite but I definitely think that it's worth seeing once. The dialogue and the flight scenes were okay. Red Tails is a movie about a crew of African American pilots in the Tuskegee training program. They had to face segregation and were mostly on the ground during World War II until they are called into duty under the guidance of Col. A.J. Bullard (played by the gorgeous Terrance Howard). All of the characters have their issues to deal with especially "Easy". My favorite character was "Lightning". He's cocky, courageous, and crazy all at the same time. But he's kind of smart. The Tuskegee Airmen are no doubt an inspiration but I wouldn't watch this movie again. I would rather watch the original movie, "The Tuskegee Airmen".

Man on a Ledge

Hot Aussie actor, Sam Worthington!

Now, this is my kind of movie! I LOVE this movie, not to mention that Aussie actor, Sam Worthington, is very attractive/hot and I LOVE his accent! The beginning is a little slow but that's typical with a good action movie. The beginning is usually slow to fill us in on the background information. But once it does pick up speed, the movie gets super intense! You are so curious as to what will happen! Will he prove his innocence? Is he innocent? Who set him up? Who's on his side? I LOVED the ending in this movie but I will not give it away. I would definitely see this movie again! :) Plus, I got to see it in a Cinema Suite! The sound and screen is incredible inside a Cinema Suite! :)

Contraband

Hot actor, Mark Wahlberg!

Chris Farraday (played by Mark Wahlberg) and Tim Briggs (played by the talented actor Giovanni Ribisi)

Did I mention how super, super attractive/hot that Mark Wahlberg is? Well, if I didn't, Mark Wahlberg is super hot and has been since he came out in the 90's! The best part, he only gets hotter as he ages! That's my opinion though! Also, his brother, Robert Wahlberg is in this movie as well. Again, a little slow in the beginning as all good action movies are. But once it does pick up speed, it's super intense. You are wondering what's going to happen to Chris Farraday's (played by Mark Wahlberg's) family while he's away taking care of business. If anyone looks good in a super intense movie, it's Mark Wahlberg. I also like the good verbal punches in the script. He had some funny lines. I LOVED the ending in this movie as well. I would definitely see it again! :) I got to see this in a Cinema Suite too!

The Vow

Channing Tatum all wet = SEXY!

I knew that this movie was going to be sad just by watching the previews of it, and it was. I really just wanted to see it because the hot and very attractive Channing Tatum is in it. Channing Tatum is so good looking! The actual movie isn't as sad as I thought it would be though. There was enough cute, sweet, and funny moments to keep you smiling instead of crying which I liked. The only time that I kind of wanted to cry, was when Leo (played by Channing Tatum) started crying. With that said, I still wanted to hug him throughout the entire movie, LOL! What makes this movie sad is the ending, when it refers to the real-life couple (the lady in particular) that this movie is based on. I won't give it away though. I really don't like romantic movies but I like this one because it's based on a true story. Sarah N. and I agree that we would not be mad or question Channing Tatum if we woke up with amnesia and he told us that he was our husband. LOL! We would just believe him! :) I would definitely watch it again! :) It's such a powerful story about fate and true love. My only warning: Do NOT watch this if you are feeling sad, lonely, or depressed, it will only make you feel even worse. By the way, I would definitely file this under a chick flick. Insecure men will not like this movie! Just saying.

These are just my opinions. Your opinions of these movies may differ. But hey! Everyone is entitled to their own opinions! :)

I hope that you enjoyed my post!

Love always,
LaTasha B.
